Your Source For Local Goodness in the Heart of the Rockies

June 22, Opening Day!

The dates for next season are June 22 - Nov. 2. Vendor applications are now being accepted.

The GFM takes place on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.. The market is located on Main and Virginia, conveniently located right in the heart of Gunnison's historic Main Street, with excellent restaurants and enticing shopping all around. The market moves indoors for the last four Saturdays to the Fred Field Heritage Center (county fairgrounds) located at 275 S. Spruce St (a few blocks south of Safeway).

There will be a wide variety of vendors selling fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, beef, pork, eggs, cheese, honey, herbs, flowers, wine, granola, crafts and more! The majority of the produce is from the North Fork Valley, just on the other side of the West Elks, but there will be a handful of local vendors offering some of the finest, tastiest, Gunnison grown food.

Live enterainment will be featured each week along with kids activities and cooking demos. For breakfast sample organic, sourdough bread from Mt.Ovens or a fresh pastry from Fresh Breads and Pastries. Lunch has plenty of options too -- Innerfire Mobile offers wood fired pizza, Colorado Lucky Dog's has all natural brats and dog's on a stick for the kiddos to drink BOOCH has plenty of herbal kombucha flavors such as lavender or hibiscus.

Each week's Farmers Market is an exciting event! Perhaps you'd like to join the crew of volunteers who put it on; if so, drop us a line. Or maybe you'd like to sell your produce, food, or wares at the market - in that case, check out our vendor information page for a 2013 vendor application. If you are a non-profit wanting to participate, see our non-profit application. If you are interested in becoming a Colorado Cottage Food Producer and you sell non-potentially hazardous food (tea, spcies, dehydrated produce, seeds, nuts, honey, jam, jelly, fruit butter, candy and certain types of baked goods), check out Colrado Farm to Market and the Cottage Food Producer Check-List.

Whether you come as a customer, a vendor, a volunteer or all three(!), we know that you'll enjoy the sights, sounds, smells, and general good times at the Gunnison Farmers Market. We're looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones.
